Ask anyone who sees me on a regular basis, and they’ll tell you I almost exclusively wear dresses when the weather allows it. The honest reason is that they’re the easiest item to throw on while still looking put-together. I also find dresses to be one of the most comfortable options when the weather takes a turn for the hot and sticky, especially in comparison to my other go-to: denim.
I love how she chose a bold shoe to balance out the neutral dress shade, but truly any footwear option is fair game here. “The white dress will definitely be restyled with a straw hat and nude flats at some point,” Ojekunle says.
Speaking of versatility, Ojekunle actually talks a lot about cost per wear on her Instagram. “I do a segment called #1Item2Ways to show how to style one piece in several different ways,” she explains. Take this blue midi dress for example. There are endless ways to style this piece, whether it’s with neutral accessories, as shown here, everyday white sneakers, matching blue sandals—the list goes on.
Besides the versatility of this dress, what I personally love about it is the print. It’s not quite a floral print and it’s not quite an animal print, but it’s eye-catching no less. The ruffle details don’t hurt either.
