10 Influencer-Approved Skirts That Might Make You Rethink Your Love of Dresses

While some may say summer is the season of the dress, I personally define myself as a skirt enthusiast. Endlessly versatile, skirts are an item that can be elevated enough for just about any occasion and also dressed down for more casual affairs. As an example, the checked slip skirt I wore to a wedding alongside a slinky silk cami last year is now the same skirt I wear to picnics on weekends alongside a plain white tee and Stan Smith sneakers.

To further prove my point that skirts are in fact, an unsung wardrobe hero, I’ve taken the liberty of tracking down a few summery iterations that come with influencer-approval. From buzzy brands like GanniSir and Musier Paris to high-street favourites like H&M and ASOS, this season we’ve seen a plethora of chic skirts spanning mini, midis and maxis. From shirred details to gingham prints, keep scrolling to see 11 skirts the fashion set is loving this season.

Style Notes: Shirred skirts have been a major trend this summer. While many have been created in mid-calf lengths, Sir The Label’s mini iteration is certainly one of my favourites.

Style Notes: Aimee Song knows what it takes to create a trending item, as evidenced by this pastel green mini, which has many fans amongst the fashion set.

Style Notes: Petite influencer Eni Illori has worn this skirt on several occasions this summer, proving how simple it is to style. Whether paired with a T-shirt or a blazer, the full circular skirt will always make for a  sophisticated silhouette.

Style Notes: In a timeless beige shade and classic pencil silhouette, this skirt has versatility written all over it. We guarantee it will stay in your wardrobe for years to come.

Style Notes: There’s something so fun about a gingham skirt for summer, particularly when it’s created in a bright orange hue. We’re willing to bet this skirt will provide an instant mood boost the minute you put it on.

Style Notes: When we spoke to designer Anne Laure Mais, she revealed that tie front skirts are one of her favourite trends of the season, and given this sleek style, we can definitely see why.

Style Notes: Cult label Ganni has created several noteworthy skirts this season, though this floral-print satin iteration has caught the attention of editors and influencers alike.

Style Notes: A miniskirt with an edge, this Mother of Pearl number features a unique tie detail making for a very interesting silhouette.

Style Notes: Synonymous with Jacquemus’ recent summer collection, this pink hue speaks for itself. The statement-making shade will instantly elevate any outfit.

Style Notes: Featuring delicate embroidery and a tie waist detail, this H&M skirt looks far more expensive than its price tag.
