Out of All the Knitwear Trends on Net-a-Porter, These Are the 4 I’d Recommend

January 21, 2021 at 06:00AM

If there’s one item of clothing in our wardrobes that has worked harder than any other this winter, it would have to be knitwear. Yes, our coats are invaluable for those chilly afternoon walks, but with commuting put on hold for many of us, it’s those throw-on layering pieces that have really been put to the test. Thankfully, there has been no end of options within this category, with brands offering up a plethora of knitted pieces—from dresses and trousers to classic crew necks to cardigans.

Net-a-Porter, as always, is one of our primary sources of inspiration in the knitwear stakes, and this season, it has really pulled it out of the bag with an edit of enviable designer pieces that have immediately made it onto our wish lists. There have been four trends in particular that have caught my eye this season. They include knitted dresses from brands such as Proenza Schouler and Khaite and colour-blocking jumpers from the likes of Monse and 3.1 Phillip Lim. Oh, and if that’s not enough, from today, there’ll be 15% off selected full-price products. Yes, you heard correctly. Scroll down to see my edit.

The knitted dress is your unlikely wardrobe hero of winter 2021. Wear it alone with tights and chunky boots or layer it over tailored trousers.

Go graphic with colour-blocking knitwear aka the easiest way to elevate your straight-leg denim this season.

If you prefer a more low-key look, then the collared-knitwear trend is the one for you. Opt for a neutral hue, such as navy or beige, and style with colour-match separates.

For a mood-boosting knitwear look, we would recommend a bold print. Paradis Perdus’s red and cream design is just too good for words.
