Netflix’s captivating remake of the ’90s series Sabrina The Teenage Witch presents progressive modern themes with creative vintage style, seamlessly fitting in with the nostalgic throwback fashion that’s become more and more popular over the past few years. Following the life of Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka), a teenage girl who is trying to reconcile her ordinary American high school life with her rather extraordinary second life (as a powerful devil worshiping witch), the incredibly dark, yet poppy teenage drama comes with iconic fashion. Staying true to the style of the characters, costume designer Angus Strathie has sourced the bulk of outfits from vintage stores and has custom made many of the looks, too.
Sabrina’s style has evolved, along with her character, since first appearing in part one. Throughout part four, she wears a lot of patterns, textures, cropped sweaters, and collared shirts inspired by the ’60s and ’70s. While most are vintage, the ones we can ID are from the likes of Vince, Cinq a Sept, and Scotch & Soda, as well as more affordable retailers like Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, and Anthropologie.
The team at ShopYourTV scour the internet after each episode airs, researching outfits worn by the characters on the show, and they’re providing their expertise for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, so we can continue to cherish the great fashion moments from the fourth season.
