Here are a few sweet and simple, yet highly functional kitchen hacks that will transform your kitchen this spring, starting with the appliance that’s changed our morning coffee routine for good…

Almond Cow | The Almond Cow is an automatic nut milk maker we’ve become obsessed with. Add your own blend of almonds, coconut, cashews, hazelnuts, hemp or chia seeds (the options are near endless!) to create any nut milk of your choice. Once you add your ingredients, the Almond Cow blends automatically, meaning you can step away to address all the other demands of the morning without a second thought. Lately, we’ve been making this nut milk recipe for our morning coffee and a simple almond, cashew, cinnamon blend for afternoon smoothie. The Almond Cow is also a breeze to clean (unlike a blender, food processor or juicer).

We’ve been trialing this unique kitchen appliance for about a month and don’t know how we lived without it. Tip: soak your choice of nuts overnight for maximum nutrition and use their “creamer” insert to make your milks extra creamy.

Evermill Countertop Rack | Evermill is a new, female-founded brand hoping to simply your whole approach to your pantry. We first stumbled across Evermill on Instagram last fall and loved the modern design of their amber glass spice racks (which protect from sunlight and heat).

Evermill spices are grown on land free of synthetic fertilizers, growth regulators, and insecticides, making them 100% organic. Their core set includes twelve spices: Bay Leaves, Captain’s Blend, Cayenne, Cinnamon, Cumin, Evermill Blend, Harissa, Italian, Oregano, Paprika, Red Pepper Flakes, and Turmeric. We love that Evermill sends one-off refills only when needed and eliminates the need for single-use, store-bought, plastic and glass containers.

LINEN BOWL COVERS | This plastic-free fridge uses fabric bowl covers instead of disposable wrap to keep food fresh.  Unlike plastic wrap, the wraps can be washed and stored and used over and over and take zero time or hassle to toss on top of a bowl of leftovers or salad greens ready to be dressed.

SARAH KERSTEN SET OF NESTING COVERED BOWLs | Ceramicist Sarah Kersten’s covered bowls make for some of the best low-key luxe food storage we can find. There’s something about the heavy matching lid that makes storing leftovers or building a salad for later incredibly satisfying. See them in the wild inside this inspiring fridge!

Bamboozle Composter | Composting doesn’t have to be difficult. Start by adding a good-looking compost bin like this one near the sink on your countertops and collect natural food scraps to take outside later — or to tote to your local garden once a month.

We know that style is not as important as saving the planet, but do you have a compost bin on your counter yet? Statistically speaking, your answer is likely “no”. Generally, our guess is that this has a lot to do with aesthetics and the ‘ick factor’ of having waste lingering around in our kitchens instead of being instantly disposed of. Bamboozle’s super-popular compost bin utilizes charcoal pads that sit on top of the food waste, eliminating any odors.
