Tommy Dorfman commanded attention like a pro for her first-ever Met Gala. The actor attended the star-studded event in a forest-green rubber dress that stood out among the sea of black and gold outfits that many other stars chose. Custom designed by Christopher Kane, Dorfman’s gown featured a fitted bodice, a floor-sweeping train, and tattoo-baring cutouts all along the rib-cage area, each lined with gold chain straps for an added element of metallic shine.

Dorfman and stylist Taylor Angino mixed throwback and modern-day vibes when selecting her accessories for the gala. As the “13 Reasons Why” alum revealed during a red carpet interview, her green-and-gold reversible tiara is more than 200 years old, and it’s certainly reminiscent of this year’s “Gilded Glamour” theme. Dorfman also wore black leather opera gloves that extended well past her elbows, adding an emerald and diamond ring over the glove on her left pinky, in addition to diamond earrings that are also from the 19th century. Other accessories included green sandals and a green Edie Parker top-handle bag that read “Protect Trans Kids” in gold glitter.

Dorfman teased her Met Gala look to Vogue earlier this week, telling the publication, “I’m a big fan of the designer I’m wearing. I used to sell his clothes when I worked at Dover Street Market in 2013. Without revealing too much, I’ve never worn anything with a train before this Met, so I’m really excited about that.” Take a closer look at Dorfman’s debut Met Gala look from every angle ahead.
