Hailee Steinfeld Dazzles in a Sheer Minidress and Lacy Evening Gloves

Hailee Steinfeld continued celebrating her birthday week in a set of sizzling photos shared on the “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” star’s Instagram account on Dec. 14. Just three days after celebrating her 26th year around the sun in a glittery silver slip gown, Steinfeld posed in a sheer crossbody ruffle and lace minidress from David Koma’s resort 2023 collection. The collection’s central motif, an iris flower, appears twice in Steinfeld’s ensemble – once as a 3D metallic embellishment hand-embroidered at the base of the dress’s plunging neckline, and again around her neck on a silver chain.

“Birthday weekend success.”

Balancing elements of femininity, elegance, and structure, the sleeveless dress, which Steinfeld styled with black underwear, featured a semitransparent skirt with angular waist cutouts layered under a lacy, sheer appliqué. On either side of the massive cutouts, the dress fluttered out into a ruffled, peplum design. With guidance from fashion stylists Dani + Emma, she paired the outfit with chrome-toed, knee-high boots; silver drop earrings; and a set of David Koma lace evening gloves in black. In one photo, she also wore the minidress under an oversize black blazer with five-button detailing along the cuffs.

Steinfeld completed the outfit with silky waves, brushed-up eyebrows, and a neutral lip. “Birthday weekend success,” her makeup artist, Ash K Holm, commented on photos of her look, along with the party emoji and star-eye emoji. Admiring the finished ensemble, the “Edge of Seventeen” star’s hairstylist, Laura Polko, added, “What a mood.” With two stunning outfits already in the books for her 26th year, we can’t wait to see what other wardrobe gems Steinfeld has in store.
