Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary yesterday, but it wasn’t a holiday for them. The Duchess of Cambridge secretly did a big work event during the afternoon. The Court Circular, which tracks the royal family’s engagements, revealed Kate spent her day participating “in a roundtable discussion via video link with charities and organizations supporting pregnant women and new mothers,” according to Hello!.
The Duchess has been quarantining at her and Prince William’s country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis for the past couple weeks. The couple has participated in Zoom calls and virtual meetings to support those working during the coronavirus pandemic in the UK.
Kate and William did mark their ninth anniversary on Instagram though, sharing a shot from their wedding day and thanking their fans for the well wishes. “? Nine years ago today–thank you for all your lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary,” the couple’s team wrote.
In addition to working, Kate is also home schooling and entertaining her kids. “Children have got such stamina,” the Duchess said in a BBC interview earlier this month. “I don’t know how, honestly. You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you’ve done in that day. You’ve pitched a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day. They’ve had a lovely time. It’s amazing how much you can cram into one day, that’s for sure.”
