As an editor, it’s my job to be impartial about the fashion I showcase to you. Not everything is necessarily something I would personally wear—I’ve been trained to look beyond that; to instead seek out impressive finds that’ll work for different people and styles. This is perhaps the biggest difference between editors and influencers—a question I’m commonly asked—in that influencers present pieces that are a true representation of themselves. In turn, this makes them so fascinating to follow; find an influencer whose style you love and speaks to your own, and you’ve struck sartorial gold. They become something of your own personal shopper and make it incredibly easy to build upon your existing wardrobe by spotlighting options you’re probably going to like. And for that, we owe them a depth of gratitude.

As such, I’m always keen to learn what makes my influencer friends tick, and with spring well and truly on the horizon, what better time is there to ask seven of my favourite fashion people what’s on their wish lists for the season ahead. Seeing as they all have very different aesthetics, I was surprised to find each of them stuck to a largely neutral colour palette (proving that 2022 is indeed the year of classic style), while the same brands—think COS, Jigsaw, Frankie Shop, and Totême—kept cropping up, too. That said, the pieces you’ll find below are anything but boring. From sleek trench coats and dresses so pretty you’ll find any excuse to wear them to the ultimate pair of party heels, keep scrolling to see what’s really on seven influencers’ wish lists for spring.

Louisa Hatt shares her spring wish list.

“An oversized white shirt that looks relaxed but isn’t too long will work with lots of pieces in my wardrobe. I love the voluminous sleeves.”

“You can’t go wrong with a long sleeved striped T-shirt. This one has super long sleeves which makes it look really chic.”

“I’m a sucker for white jeans and I love the look of this pair as they are full length and really high waisted so will be really flattering on different shapes.”

“A lightweight jacket with a hood for April showers is a must. This one is sporty but still chic so will work with leggings or high waisted trousers.”

“I try to introduce lighter colours into my wardrobe in spring and I love loafers so these shoes are right up my street.”

Claudia Berresford shares her spring wish list.

“My obsession with stripes continues into spring and this cardigan is firmly on my wishlist. The perfect piece to wear with jeans and a white tee but I can also see myself throw this over all my white midi dresses.”

“Love Naya Rea’s dresses and this gorgeous party at the back dress was just made for me—that scallop detail is just divine.”

“Fully embracing dopamine dressing, I love these pink platforms for spring—just need an invite to a good party.”

“I have this dress in a peach colour and I’ve worn it so much last year, I’m really tempted by this gorgeous blue, too.”

“This is the “It” bag of SS22 for me, step aside straw bags, crochet is having a moment!”

Andrea Cheong shares her spring wish list.

“The perfect Little Black Dress looks different to everyone. My ideal LBD is Mirror Palais’s vintage inspired silk dress. She’s fully lined and entirely natural fibre, which is hard to find in a satin slip these days. It features a lingerie top half which is equal parts magic and clever tailoring – I mean, it can carve out a cleavage with very little to work with. And best of all, it’s bias-cut on the skirt so it simply skims over any lumps and bumps.”

“Gucci’s small Jackie bag with the tiger motif is a special creation for Lunar New Year. Thanks to its subdued hues of ochre and teal and touches of pink, it’s surprisingly versatile. I’m a huge fan of limited edition bags because I find that they’re a genuine reflection of your personal taste. If you like a seasonal style then you really like it. I’d wear this with a cream knit and pastel trousers in the day or a black suit for a more formal look.”

“This is a highly curated vintage shop for the girls that dream of escaping to Paris after every minor inconvenience. Here, the selection of La Perla lingerie and cloud-like knitwear is unparalleled. I’ve got my eye on the floral embroidered knit top and patterned cashmere jumper, both of which are very reasonably priced and much more eco-friendly than buying new. Who said sustainable options had to be more expensive?”

“I’ve long been a fan of Xenia Adont’s label, Attire The Studio. It’s one of the few sustainable brands out there that is radically transparent about pricing and provides information about every one of their factories. All the fibre used in the collections is biodegradable—right down to the cotton thread (typically, thread is made of polyester). I’m eyeing this black cotton cardigan for the gorgeous cut-outs along its sleeve and mother of pearl buttons that seriously elevate this wardrobe essential.”

“I’m on the lookout for a black belt and while there are few solid options out there like the Celine Triomphe or Bottega’s iconic triangle, I’m particularly taken by Loewe’s reversible accessory. I love a piece that works hard in my wardrobe and this is tan on one side and black on the other. I can see this being part of my daily uniform and I’d style this for a cinched waist, over a jacket or coat.”

Jessica Skye shares her spring wish list.

“The perfect jeans and nice top outfit—I love the bold pattern and delicate detailing across the shoulders. Teamed with a pair of straight-leg black jeans and a red lip – a perfect combo for date night.”

“Double denim is one of my favourite off-duty looks so I’ll be teaming this oversized shirt with a pair of my favourite blue jeans and Chanel pumps.”

“I’ve been patiently waiting for trench coat season and I think we may be on the home stretch. I love the oversized look of this trench—super simple but so elegant.”

“Wide leg trousers aren’t going anywhere and this season I’ll be teaming mine with spring knits and oversized tees.”

“An updated version of the cult Loewe basket bag, paired with ice cream linens and sling-back. Making it the perfect everyday handbag.”

Marissa Cox shares her spring wish list.

“If I were to pick a favourite wardrobe piece, it would be the blazer—and this is the perfect style to transition into spring with.”

“A spring update on the tailored trouser (The Frankie Shop is particularly good at tailoring!). I’ll be wearing this with a white tee and New Balance trainers.”

“A.P.C is a cult French brand and their bags never go out of style – I have my eye on this warmer weather canvas style, which will no doubt work through the seasons.”

“Perhaps a little ambitious for spring weather, but these are top of my current wish list!”

“I totally plan on buying into the double denim trend come spring with this silhouette enhancing denim belted jacket.”

“I love a pair of joggers, and these Prada jogging bottoms are on my list for a treat lounge day.”

“This Balenciaga hoodie is a classic, so deserves a place on my wish list.“

"The new Softie from iconic British Brand Mulberry is high on my wish list. A bit of fun with Mulberry Classic detailing.”
