Hang up your cardigans because, according to Taylor Swift, trench coat season has officially arrived, and we have our eyes set on one look, in particular. The “Willow” singer dropped her ninth studio album Evermore on Dec. 11 and the image on the album cover features Taylor wearing a plaid Stella McCartney coat in a field of dried flowers, aka embracing the ultimate fall aesthetic. So please excuse us as we look for the nearest meadow to roam in while taking “candid” fall photos in style.
The cozy single-breasted coat is made with brown wool and covered in an orange check-print pattern reminiscent of a tree raining fall leaves. Of course, there’s a catch. The cottagecore coat clocks in at a cool $2,875. Oh, and it’s currently sold out. The good news is that trench coat season is widespread and there are tons of (slightly more affordable) Taylor-inspired options to choose from. Shop similar coats ahead, and check out our favorite songs on Taylor’s new Evermore album here.
