It’s not often that a high-street fashion brand invests heavily in a niche seasonal trend, but clearly, Mango knew what it was doing when it created its Checkers Game capsule. Composed of a tight edit of autumn-ready pieces fashioned out of dramatic checked fabrics, this collection will be a dream for those of us who have been enjoying A/W 21’s foray into graphic prints. Needless to say, every member of the Who What Wear editorial team is besotted.

If You Love This Season’s Checked Trend, You Need to See Mango’s Latest Drop — After a quick survey, it transpired that the leading looks in the collection included the checked long-sleeve turtleneck, which will be a godsend in the layering department this season, whether it’s under a white shirt or a summer dress or styled with wide-leg trousers. The minidress was another winner thanks to its retro appeal and stylish flared sleeves. We think it would look fab with tights, knee-high boots (either heeled or flat) and an oversized trench. It’s oh so Twiggy. But of course, the rest of the collection is simply too good to miss, and there are plenty of lust-worthy knits, coats and accessories to fall in love with.
