I’ve Spent Days Searching for Homeware, and These Items Are the Best of the Best

My love of fashion will forever be strong, but after moving home and spending lots of time in my living room, I’ve come to hold interiors in equally high esteem. I’ve become so obsessed with homeware, my Christmas shopping reflects this shift. After becoming more comfortable in my new flat, and getting the more essential purchases out of the way, my mind keeps drifting to how I can make my space feel special and elevated, and my Christmas wish list this year is filled with items that will make me love my home even more in 2022.

Just like clothes, homeware can be difficult to buy for someone else, as it is so personal—especially when it comes to bigger and more expensive items. So for this gift guide, I’ve split it into three categories, with gift ideas for maximalists who love colour and prints, for those who want their homes to be calm and neutral, and for those who want to shop from independent brands and secondhand to make a home that feels truly unique. Within each category, I’ve included both small items such as colourful candles and quirky prints (that can be given to a friend or a relative who is tricky to buy for) and bigger ticket items, from vintage chairs to beautiful rugs. Keep scrolling to see my edit of 39 homeware gifts that I love for Christmas (and every other day in the year).

Below, you’ll find tapestries, prints, candles, and bedding in the boldest prints and the most vibrant colours. The best thing about this aesthetic is that more is more, and this person will never fail to see the beauty in adding another talking piece to their mantle or perfectly curated shelf.

This throw will brighten up any sofa or armchair.

Dried flowers are a great alternative to fresh.

I’ve got my eye on this Toast throw.

Another Anissa Kermiche hit.

This year we’ve seen a continued push to support and amplify small and local brands, as many businesses remain hugely impacted by the pandemic and its restrictions. Luckily, there are lots of little-known independent brands and vintage sellers listing their pieces online, so you needn’t require copious amounts of time and days off to find something truly unique.

This print looks so genuine.

If you’re feeling flush, you might want to consider the matching salt mill.
