If you read Who What Wear on the reg, you’d know that we tend to make a lot of trend predictions. Based on what we saw coming down the runways, infiltrating Instagram, and landing at our favourite retailers, we called out the next big non-skinny jean trend when it was first bubbling up. Well, that was at the start of last year and cut to the present-day where the denim trend in question—high-rise wide-leg jeans–have fully taken over the fashion scene.
I’ll just say it: we were right. If you don’t already know what we’re talking about, these full-length jeans are defined by a trouser-like wide leg and a waist-cinching high rise. We know that wide-leg jeans can be intimidating if you’re used to wearing more fitted styled (ahem, skinnies), which is why the high rise is crucial here.
