Britney Spears’s Snakeskin Bikini Look Could Be a Nod to Jessica Simpson

It looks like Britney Spears is back on vacation which, naturally, means she’s busy posting a slew of new bikini snapshots to her Instagram. Ensuring that summer just keeps coming, the 40-year-old took to the platform on Sunday night to share glimpses of her enjoying a waterside getaway. For the relaxing occasion, she wore a bright turquoise snakeskin string bikini and oversized sunglasses.
To complete the leisurely ensemble, Spears opted for a simple floral cover-up dress, which is currently available to shop yourself right now on the fast fashion retailer Shein. She shared not one, but two videos on her IG feed that featured a montage of clips from her Maui vacation with her husband Sam Asghari. Wearing sneakers in some of the photos, a straw hat in others, and even holding a large pineapple to “surprise [her] hubby with the props,” according to her caption, Spears appeared to be having a relaxing, rejuvenating time on the water.

Fellow ‘00s pop star Jessica Simpson has long been known to favor oversized sunnies, and Spears paid tribute to her by writing, “pulling a Jessica Simpson with my big glasses.” What’s more, she’s continuing her summertime trend of the bright swimwear ‘fits, which has included a bright green bikini, a hot pink Barbiecore beach look, just to name a few. Though Spears has been posting her signature dancing videos in recent days, it seems like the bikini snaps are back for the time being.
