Blake Lively recently enjoyed a blissful hang by the pool. Ahead of the actor and Betty Buzz founder’s 35th birthday on Aug. 25, she posed alongside palm trees against a beautiful backdrop in a chic white swimsuit. Featuring a short-sleeved wrap top and low-rise bottoms with a gold ring detail sitting on the hips, her Vitamin A bikini was a stylish yet understated choice for her casual pool day.

There’s a reason bikinis with sleeves have been trending for several summers – the versatile, unique style can easily be worn both as swimwear and as a fun top to elevate any outfit. While Lively chose a sporty look with more coverage on top, she went with a sultrier silhouette on the bottom with a low-rise bikini, though she skipped the popular thongkini trend that’s everywhere right now. Lively opted for zero accessories for the relaxed occasion, effortlessly pairing the white two-piece with her signature beach waves to hang out with husband Ryan Reynolds.

The actor kicked off her birthday celebrations last week, swinging by Disneyland with her sister Robyn Lively. For the outing, Lively was all about function in a relaxed, oversize shirt as a dress with chunky black sneakers and white ankle socks. A departure from her looks as a Met Gala cochair in May, the mom of three has been sporting more casual outfits this summer. In June, she was spotted in a plunging white sundress and white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.
