Leighton Meester will forever be known for her role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. Just like her character on the show, Leighton also has a knack for putting together an impeccably stylish outfit. Even though the show ended back in 2012, Blair’s outfits are still relevant even today. In fact, we noticed a handful of times when she wore similar outfits to Blair while on the red carpet and at various events, and it made us wonder if she had taken cues from her preppy on-screen persona (perhaps in the subtlest of ways?).
From sequined pale blue dresses to her character’s classic combination of a pencil skirt and tights, there have been plenty of times when we mistook Leighton for Blair. Some of these style moments are so identical – it’s wild! We can’t wait to see the Gossip Girl spin off to see what outfits the new characters will wear and we wonder if Blair’s preppy style will make a comeback.
