Diary of Daisy: My Journey to Motherhood (11th – 17th November)

Monday, 11th November

A new week, a new chance to start fresh. 🌟 I woke up with a sense of determination and decided to channel that energy into my work. It was a productive day, and ticking off tasks from my to-do list gave me a sense of accomplishment.

During lunch, I took a short walk to clear my mind. The fresh air and movement helped me refocus for the afternoon. 🌿

In the evening, my husband and I discussed our plans for the holidays. We’re both looking forward to spending time with family and taking a break from our usual routine. It’s something positive to look forward to, and it feels good to have that on the horizon.

The day started with a bit of heaviness. 💭 I couldn’t shake the feeling of frustration about how slow this journey feels sometimes. I allowed myself to sit with those feelings for a while before deciding to move forward.

Work kept me busy, and I found solace in the routine. 🌟 My colleagues are always so supportive, even without knowing what’s on my mind. Their kindness is a reminder that small gestures can make a big difference.

After work, I went for a walk in the neighbourhood. The sound of leaves crunching under my feet was oddly comforting. By the end of the walk, I felt a bit lighter, as though the fresh air had cleared some of the fog in my mind.

Wednesday, 13th November

Today was unexpectedly uplifting. 🌞 I had a coffee catch-up with a friend who shared her own journey to motherhood. Hearing her story gave me a lot of hope and reminded me that everyone’s timeline is different.

The rest of the day went by in a blur of meetings and deadlines, but I didn’t mind. Keeping busy helps keep my mind from wandering into stressful territory. 🌟

In the evening, my husband surprised me with a little gift – a beautiful notebook for my journaling. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it made me feel so loved and supported.

Thursday, 14th November

The morning began with a little more energy than usual. 🌻 I used it to tackle some overdue tasks at work, which felt incredibly satisfying.

During my lunch break, I picked up a book on mindfulness from the local bookstore. I’m trying to incorporate more calming practices into my routine, and this felt like the perfect addition. 📚

The evening was spent quietly at home. I read the first few chapters of my new book and felt inspired to make a list of things I’m grateful for. Focusing on the positives helps me navigate the tougher days.

Friday, 15th November

The end of the week came with a sense of accomplishment. 🌟 Work was productive, and I felt like I was finally finding a balance between my professional and personal life.

In the afternoon, I had a phone call with my sister. She always knows how to make me laugh, and her encouragement means the world to me. 💕

Later, my husband and I started planning our weekend getaway. It feels good to have something fun to look forward to, a little escape from the day-to-day grind.

Saturday, 16th November

We spent the day on a little adventure, exploring a nearby nature reserve. 🌳 The weather was perfect, and being surrounded by trees and open skies felt so refreshing.

We brought a picnic and spent hours just talking, laughing, and soaking in the beauty of the outdoors. It was exactly the kind of day I needed – free from stress and full of joy.

By the evening, I felt rejuvenated. These moments of connection and relaxation are so important, especially during a journey like this.

Sunday, 17th November

A quiet Sunday to end the week. 🌈 I spent the morning journaling, reflecting on the past two weeks and the small victories along the way.

In the afternoon, I took a long walk through the neighbourhood, appreciating the simple beauty of life around me.

As the evening came to a close, I felt a sense of peace. I may not have all the answers, but I’m learning to trust the process and cherish the love and support I have in my life.
