Dior‘s ready-to-wear collections by Maria Grazia Chiuri are among the highlights of Fashion Month. Every season, the designer is able to tap into the dreams and desires of young women, and translate that into a decadent presentation of fashion and design. For fall/winter 2021, Dior put a dark and romantic twist on the tales of mermaids, debutantes, and harlequin jesters.
For Chiuri, the act of dressing up means we can be anyone and anywhere – including mermaids in the deep blue sea, Bridgerton-inspired debutantes charming a duke at a ball, or cottagecore cuties foraging in a local mushroom patch. Dior’s fall/winter 2021 collection, sure to be a visual and sartorial sensation, will be streaming live on Monday, 8 March. Until the new collection is unveiled, the brand released a silent comic-book-style teaser video illustrated by Teresa Cherubini that follows an animated Dior model through her stylish dreams and fantasies.
