Even the British royal family is using Zoom, as much of the UK and U.S. quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic. But unlike many people opting to dress casually or go makeup-free when they can, Kate Middleton is still dressing up for all her calls and virtual engagements. She is royal, after all.
The Duchess of Cambridge has done several Zoom calls and interviews of which the Kensington Palace Instagram has shared footage. In many, the Duchess has been wearing dresses, some of which she has worn before for other events. Here, a look at each outfit she has worn so far.
Kate’s Debut Zoom Outfit: A Mustard Zara Sweater
The Duchess dressed in a more casual look (at least by royal standards) when talking with children and educators at Casterton Primary Academy with her husband Prince William. Kate wore a Zara sweater, paired with Catherine Zoraida gold leaf earrings. The earrings go for about $202.
Kate’s Nautical Zoom Interview Look
Kate and William spoke with BBC, where Kate debuted her second video chat outfit. The Duchess once again went for a more casual look, wearing a navy and white striped sweater. Kate seemingly wore the top last May when she attended the King’s Cup Regatta.
Kate’s Two Blue Looks
Kate privately spoke with midwives, health visitors, parents, and leading sector experts about the challenges new and expectant mothers are going through during the coronavirus pandemic. For these Zoom meetings, Kate wore two blue looks. The first is a sweater by Tabitha Webb. The second is a floral dress is from Boden.
Kate’s Yellow ITV Interview Dress
Kate did a second interview to introduce her patronage the UK National Portrait Gallery’s Hold Still photography exhibit (and its open call for submissions) while dressed in a yellow RAEY floral dress.
Kate’s Red Dress for Her Veteran Zoom Calls
Kate dressed up for her and Prince William’s VE Day call with veterans celebrating at the Royal British Legion’s Mais House Care Home. The Duchess rewore the red LK Bennett dress that she wore to Wimbledon in 2015.
Kate’s Blue Polka Dot Dress for International Nurses Day
The Duchess returned to her blue palette for International Nurses Day. She did calls with nurses to thank them for their service, especially during COVID-19. Kate rewore the blue Altuzarra dress she first wore in September 2016.
