One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our lovely Who What Wear readers is: “Which dress should I wear to a (insert ceremony type here) wedding?”. While there are certainly no rules when it comes to church ceremonies, registry office nuptials in the city or even a country escape or venue abroad. Of course there are some styles, and brands, we look to each season for wedding guest outfits.

Karina wears Rixo’s Gio midi dress, and you can shop it below.

Rixo, Reformation and Self-Portrait are always a go-to for dressy, yet wearable, dresses you can wear way beyond the wedding date. The likes of Simone Rocha and cult label Taller Marmo are reliable for the even fancier affairs. And when it comes to affordable styles, high street brands including & Other Stories, Reiss, Zara and Mango never fail to impress. We’re seriously swooning over this one.

The most stunning print.

Wear this beauty as shown with bold, clashing accessories.

Stunning in every colour and print.

Made to make an entrance.

Every dress from the new M&S X Ghost collection can be worn well after the big day.

Add a light pink blazer and matchy-matchy heels.

Add towering platforms and lashings of gold jewellery.

Of course this would be well-suited to a seaside wedding.

Perfect for an evening guest.

Renting an outfit is a great (and sustainable way) to wear a designer dress you may not want to splurge on.

So pretty with white heels and a clashing green bag.

The way to wear white.

One to wear to any type of ceremony.

So chic with a chunky chain necklace and lace-up-the-leg heels.

The colour is so dreamy.

Yep, you can wear black to a wedding.

Fits perfectly to the love theme.
