Meadow Walker is strutting onto the fashion scene. After previously appearing in a Proenza Schouler lookbook and signing with DNA Model Management earlier this year, the 22-year-old model and daughter of the late Paul Walker just made her runway debut in Givenchy’s fall 2021 show during Paris Fashion Week.
A convergence of luxury and utility, the collection is the first from the brand’s new creative director, Matthew M. Williams, who said the designs were meant to demonstrate a “constant tension between two worlds.” He added in a statement, “It’s about finding personal meaning in difficult circumstances.” Meadow opened the show modeling an asymmetrical blazer with a silver hardware clasp layered over a pleated dress coordinated with tights, clunky ankle boots, and a geometric clutch.
Meadow said she felt “endless gratitude” for the opportunity. “Thank you Matt for your complete support and determination to safely get me to Paris from NY,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to everyone involved.” Watch the complete runway show ahead, and see a photo of Meadow’s big moment.
