The 9 New-In Pieces I’m Adding to My Wish List This Week

November 01, 2021 at 07:00AM

I created What to Buy Now to bring you a concise weekly edit of the items I really love, including pieces from the high street, designer labels, vintage gems you can buy online and even charity-shop treasures. I’m constantly scanning the most stylish online stores, so you can feel safe knowing that you won’t miss a thing.

I know that your fashion requirements can vary massively from season to season, whether you’re looking for an immaculately tailored staple, an affordable sundress or the perfect pair of shoes. So not only will I cover all of the bases, but as an ardent believer in mindful consumption, I’ll also make sure everything I include will look just as fresh in a year’s time as it does now.

Of course, I’ll also bring you those pieces that simply set your heart racing in a way that only fashion can. This week’s highlights include plenty of wardrobe gems, from & Other Stories’ “wow” party dress to Joseph’s recycled knit. Scroll down to shop the buys on my wish list this week. You know what to do.

Batsheva and Laura Ashley? Surely one of the coolest collabs of the season. This is going straight onto our wish list.

I love the subtle flash of red on these Kurt Geiger track-sole Chelsea boots.

Fun fact: This Joseph jumper was constructed from 20 different wasted yarns. Sustainable and chic.

Cargo trousers are set to be autumn’s unexpected wardrobe hero. I’ll be bringing a polished spin by styling with a tailored blazer.

The collarless finish on this Whistles jacket makes it look very retro in the best way possible.

I’ve tried on these slip-ons IRL and can confirm they’ll be a godsend for those looking for fabulous flat party shoes.

You’d never know this ‘80s-inspired frock was from the high-street. The ultimate head turner.

I’ve been looking for a good pair of low-slung wide-leg trousers, and COS has just delivered the goods.

I wear my own vintage cowboy boots at least once a week with everything from jeans to midi dresses.

This is one of the coolest pieces to hit the runway this season, IMO. One to add to my fantasy coat wish list.

I’m enjoying the return of the ’90s knitted vest. It’ll look very Gwyneth with tailored trousers, heels and statement earrings.

Heeled boots are my one-stop shop for easy polished style during the autumn months.

I love the nautical vibes of this blouse from lesser-known sustainable brand Gingham Palace.

Just add black tights, a mini skirt and a ruffled-collar top for mid-noughties Alexa vibes.

Add a little colour to your new season capsule with this & Other Stories padded-shoulder shirt.

There’s nothing that Rave Review does that I don’t instantly fall in love with.

Sleeper’s new co-ord is my idea of the perfect party look. Just look at those sleeves.

Mirla Beane is the coolest new sustainable brand on the block, and this blazer is at the top of my wish list.

A perfect jewellery staple for all seasons, courtesy of Thomas Sabo.

This is such a chic shade of cobalt blue. Well done, & Other Stories.

A classic trench coat is never a bad idea, whatever the season.

Just add jeans, a boxy blazer and chunky boots for an easy weekend ensemble.

Cargo trousers are having a moment, and this khaki H&M pair ticks the box nicely.

Nanushka’s chequerboard print is back, and this time, it comes with statement-making neck detail.

A bum bag is the chicest way to go hands-free, and this Kin number will go with everything in your wardrobe.

Jakke is the faux-fur brand everyone is talking about, and this cobalt blue number is very A/W 21.

Are these the perfect pair of straight-leg jeans? I think so.

I’m fully on board with the printed-base-layer look, and this marbled Mango style is a real showstopper.

A cold-weather staple that will look fab with everything from skinny jeans to midi dresses.

It’s officially jumper weather, and this beige button-down is sure to be a multitasking hero.

Trust COS to create a beige blazer that could be mistaken for a designer buy. That textured finish is just exquisite.

This is everything I could want from a party top. That’s all.

This Casablanca jumpsuit might not be to everyone’s taste, but after a year of living in tracksuits, I’m ready to be a little bit extra.

How cute is the intricate floral embroidery on this vintage jumper?

I’m not usually a skirt person, but this season, I have found myself drawn towards these A-line silhouettes.

I can’t believe this stand-out cashmere knit is from Marks and Spencer. It looks so expensive, IMO.

Oh hello, dream party top. I’ll be wearing you with tailored trousers and a very smug expression on my face.

The ’90s leather coat is having a comeback, and this Ambercrombie & Fitch number has the perfect fit.

Is this the world’s best vintage blouse? I think so.

Trust Rejina Pyo to create a winter coat in the perfect shade of dusty blue. Wear it with rusty reds and beige shades.

Chunky boots show no sign of disappearing. Add this Kurt Geiger pair to your fave slim-leg jeans.

I saw Alexa Chung wearing the brown iteration of this jumper, so obviously, it went straight onto the wish list.

Behold the perfect winter coat.

I expect to see this on the arms of fashion editors everywhere this season.

Take note: This is the trouser silhouette of autumn 2021.

I’m not usually a purple lover, but this grape shade has really caught my eye.

These M&S shoes look very premium.

A smart and chic layering solution from COS. (Who else?)

Padded jackets are having a moment this season, and I love the simplicity of this Arket overshirt.

I can’t stop thinking about the fit of these vintage-inspired jeans from Seventy + Mochi.

Yes, Rixo now does coats. And yes, they’re as good as you’d expect.

I’d wear this with a checked skirt and chunky boots.

By one of my favourite London Fashion Week labels.

This comes with a matching jacket and trousers.

This would look amazing with knee-high boots.

Oh goodness, Rejina Pyo’s dream ’70s-inspired jacket is back for another season, and this time it comes in a feel-good shade of bubblegum pink. I’m in love.

Everyone on the WWW team is drooling over this statement base layer from Mango’s checked capsule. Just slip it under everything from summer dresses to oversized white shirts.

A pair of tailored trousers is the autumnal staple I couldn’t live without. Dress them down with a white tee, or keep them cosy with a chunky knit. The options are limitless.

A smart loafer is the easiest way to add polish to a look, whether it’s jeans or a midi dress. Church’s brown leather tassel is the ultimate.

A colour-pop knit is your new autumn BFF. Use it to add A/W 21 appeal to your wardrobe neutrals. Case in point: This M&S lime-green buy would look so good with Acne’s beige trousers.

In my experience, there isn’t an outfit that gold hoops don’t go with.

WWW’s Hannah Almassi sent this secondhand beauty to me, but sadly, it’s not the right size. Can someone please buy it and send me a photo?

A pair of chunky knee-high boots will carry you through the wettest and coldest of winter days. Trust me.

With it’s collarless neckline and oversized fit, this H&M wrap coat could so easily be mistaken for a designer buy.

Deep yet dusky, this is the most perfect shade of blue.

These Monki knee-highs are guaranteed to add personality to your autumnal ensembles.

Cargo trousers are having a moment, and I’m unexpectedly into them when they come in tailored fabrics.

There’s something oh-so noughties about the initial print on this vintage Versace blouse.

Add this cut-out knit to a pair of slouchy, wide-leg trousers and loafers for the chicest September look.

I think the silk fabric and ruffled neckline makes this Uterque dress look super premium.

My 30th is coming up, and I’m on the lookout for dancing shoes. This pair fits the bill nicely.

A trench is a piece I wear all year round, and this COS style is hard to beat.

Acne’s cult leather jacket is a wardrobe classic for a reason.

I predict this H&M Kermit-green shirt won’t stay in stock for long.

Introducing the perfect date-night top from Harris Tapper.

I’m obsessed with Rave Review’s Net-a-Porter capsule, which is made out of recycled fabrics.

Is it too early to start compiling a dream Christmas wish list?

I’m not usually into photographic prints, but this sheer top from Zara feels so premium.

The only trouser silhouette I want to wear this season.

Just add to straight-leg jeans and loafers for a trans-seasonal chic look.

I’m all over the ’90s vibes of this H&M grey statement blazer.

Just such a cool vintage-inspired co-ord. Pair with both neutrals and complementary pops of orange and red.

A jazzy base layer is a godsend when autumn arrives. This would look so good layered under an oversized white shirt.

Mango has done it again with another expensive-looking tailored outfit.

I would seriously buy this vintage jumpsuit if it was my size.

A statement jumper from Loewe’s best collection to date (at least, in my opinion).

COS is such a winner for straight-leg jeans this season. A year-round staple.

This is selling out quickly.

If you’re looking for sturdy yet affordable autumn boots, M&S has your back.
