Fashion editors love their little style secrets, but due to the nature of our jobs, we’re not very good at keeping them. Case in point: Over the last few years, I’ve heard multiple times on the grapevine that high-street stalwart Marks & Spencer is actually a gold mine of premium-feel and (most importantly) well-fitting denim. Indeed, the brand has just dropped an even more comprehensive edit of silhouettes that would tempt even the most denim-phobic individual.

Who What Wear’s very own Emily Dawes recently did a story in which she tried on all of the new-in M&S jeans, and we are happy to report that they passed with flying colours. My personal favourite, however, has to be the high-waisted, wide-leg pair, which feels like a refreshing alternative to my go-to mom jeans and brings a satisfying slouch to tailored separates. I’ll be styling them for spring with chunky boots, a white T-shirt and an oversized blazer.
