STARVING ARTIST

This podcast by artist Honor Eastly explores a topic which will be all too familiar for people who work as a freelancer in the creative industries: how to make money from creating art. 

Whether you’re looking to get a creative business off the ground or want to find out more about building a lucrative side hustle, Starving Artist is the podcast for you. In the first season, Eastly interviews successful artists including Frances Cannon, Becky Sui Zhen and Abby Rich, digging deep into their financial situations and how they made it as artists.

Although Eastly hasn’t produced any new episodes since 2017, the existing episodes explore important topics including imposter syndrome, privilege and how to navigate the difficult line between artistic integrity and making ends meet, making it a great listen.
