33 Autumn Finds From Zara, H&M and Mango I Can’t Get Out of My Mind

Like so many, my shopping habits have changed vastly over the past 18 months. My second-hand intake has gone up by about 100%, and I find that I have more willpower than I previously did when scouting out the various new-in sections I browse daily—which I only do as part of my job, of course…

Ordinarily, I’d have a wish list as long as my arm filled with shoes and dresses to wear to weddings, pieces I want to pack for holidays and a handful of chic items to wear to work. Now, aside from the four weddings I have on the horizon, for which I’ll be wearing outfits I already have in my wardrobe, I haven’t felt the insatiable need to buy anything new. Still, on the cusp of a new season, I thought I’d perhaps take a look at the latest collections from some of my favourite high-street stores (I chose Zara, H&M and Mango) to see if anything would catch my eye. You probably know where this is going.

Remember that nonexistent wish list I was telling you about? Now, it’s packed full of pieces from—yep, you guessed it—Zara, H&M and Mango. Although they’ve taken slightly varied approaches, each brand is getting autumn style so bang on that creating an edit of the best pieces was no small feat. Still, being an editor means that, sometimes, I have to make very tough choices, and when it comes to showing you the pieces you absolutely need to see, I’ve managed to whittle it down to the top 11 from each brand.

Having misplaced mine on a pre-pandemic night out, I honestly don’t know how I’ve gone so long without a black blazer in my wardrobe.

I get so much wear out of my current leopard-print slip skirt, so I had to recommend this one to you. 

I plan on wearing this cardigan just like the model: open over trousers.

Ruching will be a huge boot trend this autumn and winter.

Chain necklaces will elevate everything from your old chunky knitwear to simple tees. 

I’m obsessed with this pretty print. 

This sleeveless jumpsuit will look just as sleek worn over a striped top or black roll-neck. 

Slip dresses have been given the knitted treatment for autumn. 

I’ve seen this dress in real life and can confirm it looks just as good up-close as it does online. 

The ideal knit for autumnal hikes and walks. 

I’m tempted to snap up the matching blouse to this midi skirt. 

These sunglasses could easily be designer. 

Another trench I’ve got my eye on should the H&M one not work out. 

A subtle take on the geometric-print trend we saw on the runway. 

Good tan bags are hard to come by, but I love this option. 

This looks like it could be vintage, which is absolutely a selling point. 

Another white blouse I’m tempted to add to my collection. 

Mark my words: Franny Fyne’s knitted co-ord is going to sell out.

Contrasting soles are another key boot microtrend to look out for.
