Forgive me, Zerina Akers, for fixating all of my attention on just one of Chloë’s looks in the “Have Mercy” video, but I just can’t help myself. The hot pink, plaid hourglass blazer that Bailey’s stylist scored her for the very first shot is just that phenomenal. Since it’s from high-fashion street wear brand Area, it does cost a pretty penny (just under $2k), but is not your average blazer what with the crystal-embellished pocket flaps, décolletage-framing sweetheart neckline, cinched waist, and eye-catching cutout at the back. Zerina and Chloë decided to style it with hotpants, square sunglasses, and a dazzling diamond choker necklace to play up the details, and we are certainly feeling the vibe.

Even though we also see Chloë in a metallic Alexandre Vauthier Couture jacket, shapely Schiaparelli number, and custom Rey Ortiz two-piece throughout the 3:30 masterpiece of a video, it’s the Area blazer that has stolen my heart – perhaps starting from the moment I first admired it on Tiffany Haddish – leaving me no other option than to recreate the look for myself.
