The 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards took place at Cipriani South Street in New York City on Monday, Nov. 7, and several celebrities made stylish statements alongside the designers they wished to champion. “Uncut Gems”’s Julia Fox, 32, delivered one such entrance in a striking cutout getup from the Milan-based brand Valerievi.

Styled by Briana Andalore, Fox highlighted all angles of her look, which included a nylon turtleneck top affixed to a thin bandeau. Dramatic, slitted sleeves were connected to the V-shaped skirt of her dress. The skirt also featured a daring dipped detail in both the front and the back. Fox also showed off her rose-adorned briefs, which can be preordered through Valerievi’s site for $150. Accessory-wise, she toted a cylinder bag with gold hardware and wore silver architectural ear cuffs.

The beauty details – including bleached brows; a smoky eye with black and white shadow; a glossy, nude lip; and especially her wet-effect gray hair – were intended to be commentary on aging. “This is a love letter to getting older. We’re embracing getting older,” she said on the red carpet when asked about her makeup.

Fox was joined by Kim Kardashian, who accepted the inaugural Innovation Award for her brand Skims while wearing a bodycon latex number. Other noteworthy white carpet moments came from Kylie Jenner, who sported a half-sheer Thierry Mugler gown from the 1999 archives; Kerry Washington, who supported image architect Law Roach while donning a ruffled blazer dress; and Cher, who wore all-leather Chrome Hearts and presented an award to Patti Wilson.
