I’m not sure about you, but I get a huge amount of joy from using certain beauty products. Whether it be a super nourishing, luxurious body cream or a red lipstick that perfectly cushions the lips, certain products just have that special touch. It makes sense therefore, that in times like these, I’m turning to such products more so than ever in a bid to lift my spirits .
Similarly, with spending more time at home than I’m used to, I have also been finding ways to inject some joy into my surroundings. And, after several homeware orders, I’m actually starting to run out of space. So last week, as I perused my beauty shelves, I had a eureka moment. Instead of keeping all of my most beautiful, mood-lifting beauty products behind closed doors to experience one once or twice a week, why not keep them out on display for all of the world to see (well, just me for now)?
With the rise of social media platforms like Instagram, aesthetics and packaging have a bigger role to play than ever when it comes to the success of a beauty product, and I’m not complaining. As every new launch gets prettier and prettier, it seems such a waste to hide them, no? So, if you like the idea of your beauty products doubling up as chic ornaments for your dressing table, keep scrolling.
When I heard that fashion label La Double J was collaborating with one of my favourite cult beauty brands of all time, I knew it was going to be good. Oh wow was I right. I have had this fresh and zesty body lotion out on display since I got it, and I never want to let it go.

Super chic, yes, but this mask is also my absolute go-to for glowy, nourished skin.
Name a chicer beauty brand than Diptyque. Known mostly for their beautiful candles and perfumes, this french brand is a favourite among fashion girls. However, if you really want to up the ante, this new glass-bottled hand lotion is absolutely divine.
I have always been a big lover of Loewe’s understated, chic perfume bottles so I when I first saw this one I was a little surprised. With that being said, this summery, uplifting scent is like happiness in a bottle.
These might just be the most ludicrously expensive lipsticks I have ever tried, but if you’re serious about feel-good beauty, they’re also some of the best. Pretty enough to look at all day, this buttery orange shade is also a total treat to use.
While applying makeup isn’t at the top of most people’s agendas right now, this super luxe powder palette actually makes me want to sit down in front of the mirror. Plus, the brightening powders give skin the most unbelievable glow.
Again, this one is mega-pricey, but it’s also really great. It’s up there with one of the best skincare products I own for no-fuss nourishment, and it’s also incredibly pretty. Do I recommend you spend £180 on a face serum? Never. But you can definitely appreciate just how pretty it is, right?

Nail polish doesn’t tend to be the prettiest thing to look at, but I love these understated bottles. As a big bonus, the formula is a long-lasting dream too.
You may have seen this on Instagram already, and I have to admit, I’m yet to try this one. The thing that caught my attention though? The chic packaging, of course.

This mascara has been the talk of the beauty town since it launched. Its pretty packaging might pique your interest but the insanely lengthening formula will keep you coming back.
You didn’t think I’d forgotten Jo Malone, did you? This limited edition candle doesn’t just smell like all of the best parts of spring, it also looks even more chic than the usual Jo Malone design (if that’s even possible).
No one needs a Dior nail polish remover, but looking at this beautiful bottle really makes me want one.
Forget the bulky, loud eye shadow palettes we’re used to seeing, this new launch from Marc Jacobs Beauty is sleek and oh-so pretty. As a bonus, the pigments are also dreamy.
This perfume is a total undiscovered gem from Chanel. Light, floral and super luxurious, it’s probably the most beautiful all-round beauty product that I own.
This beautiful, rose-scented hair and body oil is a great beauty multitasker. It’s a good job that it looks as pretty as it does because it’s always out on my side.
It can be quite difficult to find a dry shampoo that looks the part, and considering how often it gets used as a product, it’s about time someone produced a chic bottle. Luckily, this mousse formula from Sachajuan has it all.
New from Glossier, I don’t know a single beauty editor that isn’t desperate to get their hands on this chic hand cream – literally.
Magic Cream might just be one of beauty’s most cult products, and with good reason. It acts as the glowiest, most-hydrating base for makeup and the packaging delivers too.
