I’ll Never Wear Leggings Again, Thanks To These WFH Summer Outfits

I have to admit, when we first started working from home, the idea of wearing leggings every day was very appealing. Taking the complexity out of getting dressed, it was a somewhat welcome reprieve from having to put together a cute, office or event-worthy outfit, each day.

Though, as a Fashion Editor, the novelty soon wore off and I felt myself missing the routine of actively getting dressed. While I am not advocating for working in a ball gown (though there is a maxi dress in my mix that is pretty close) I do feel like dressing in a more polished way has its benefits, particularly when it comes to my productivity levels. With this new found awareness, recently I’ve started to put together outfits each morning that feel elevated yet still prioritise comfort, because let’s be honest, when it comes to working from the home office (or in my case, the dining table) comfort matters.

From button-downs and denim shorts, to slip skirts and plain tees, I’ve found the best WFH outfits often contain a balance of workwear and casual wear. For example, while I’d never wear denim shorts to the office, pairing the item with a silk shirt makes my look entirely appropriate for my daily zoom calls. And while my distressed Levi jeans might feel too casual on their own, wearing them alongside a printed blouse means I can still feel polished in weekly team meetings. Keep scrolling for six work-from-home outfits formulas I’m wearing this summer.
