It might still be August, but this is the week that many retailers switch from high-summer mode to autumn, and so new-in sections are now filled with knitwear, boots and coats. This week & Other Stories just launched its autumn shop—a curated edit of new season items that will elevate your existing wardrobe and prepare you for the cooler months ahead. With this as the overarching theme, it’ll be no surprise to you that all of the pieces are relatively classic, with subtle updates and tweaks to make them feel current.

The one section we’re most impressed by this autumn is the boots selection as they have lots of perfect chunky sole Chelsea boots, in both black and cream leather. There’s even a quilted leather knee-high pair if you really want to lean into the biker look. Our editors always rate & Other Stories for its beautiful knitwear and tailoring, and as ever the high-street retailer is excelling in these two areas. Hero items for the season include the quilted boxy jacket, the wool blend blazer in a beautiful stone colour and the wool button cardigans with a cute collar detail.
