Every year, as February rolls around, I find myself growing increasingly tired of my own boot collection. From November onwards, boots become the footwear staple of choice and after three months exclusively in the shoe, it’s safe to say I’m about ready for a change.
While sneakers are a worthy second option, this year celebrities are offering alternative inspiration if you too are ready to kick your boots to the kerb. From Hailey Bieber to Kaite Holmes, this February stylish women are switching out their chunky Chealseas and casting aside their waterproof Wellies in favour of classic loafers.
Now, before you start asking how you’re expected to keep warm in sub-zero temperatures while wearing ankle-baring footwear, rest assured celebs have that problem covered, too. Holmes has been spotted on the street of New York, pairing her chunky loafers alongside long knitted socks in shades of navy, cream and grey. It’s not a look I’d usually advocate for, but (somewhat unsurprisingly) Holmes is making it work.
