Today, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor turns one, and to celebrate his first birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared a sweet new video of the youngest member of the royal family to help raise money for charity.
In the clip shared by Save The Children UK, a casual Meghan is seen with her hair slicked back into an easy bun wearing a chambray shirt and shorts, with Archie perched on her knee as they read Duck! Rabbit! whilst being filmed by Prince Harry. Meghan animatedly reads the story to Archie, who helps to turn the pages of the book throughout the video. Harry can be heard laughing behind the camera as Archie gets distracted by another book, and both parents show off their duck noise skills at one point during the reading. The video was shared with the charity to promote its Save with Stories program which aims to raise money to help families affected by the pandemic.
In the Instagram post, the charity writes, “As the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, children’s lives are being turned upside down. By donating to Save with Stories, you can support the most vulnerable families in the UK and around the world by helping to provide early learning packs, supermarket vouchers, essential household items and virus protection.”
And speaking of donations, fans of the Sussexes have rallied together for a digital fundraiser called #ArchieDay to help raise funds for organizations close to the family’s heart. So far, more than $50,000 has been raised for several charities, including the Boys and Girls Club of Canada which received over $12,000 in donations as a result of the campaign.
