Levi’s tapped Hailey Bieber and Jaden Smith for its new collection

Levi’s has tapped two stars at the top of their game, Hailey Bieber and Jaden Smith, for their latest collection. The collection, which debuted on Monday, is Levi’s second partnership with Bieber. Like last year’s campaign, this collection was originally supposed the coincide with Coachella, however the indefinite cancellation of large events like festivals and concerts didn’t hold the brand back. “There may not be any festivals but we’re launching the campaign anyway because we all deserve to dream a little,” said Levi’s CMO Jen Sey. The brand offers an optimistic escape with the collection of denim cutoffs, cubano button downs and peasant blouses that can be purchased online in Canada until we can enjoy live venues together again.

Allbirds launched its first performance shoe

Sustainable sneaker brand, Allbirds, has taken it up notch with their first performance sneaker. The new style – called The Dasher – is made of natural materials like sugarcane, eucalyptus and merino wool. The stable and supportive structure is meant for casual exercise and launched this week in four limited edition colours. The environmentally friendly brand will label the style with its carbon output of 9KG of CO2 a pair, which is almost 30 per cent less than the average sneaker.

Shopify launched a new app to simplify online shopping

Keep all of your online orders together with Shopify’s new app called Shop. With more than 1 million businesses using Shopify, customers can now utilize benefits of the platform’s Shop, Pay and Arrive features in one place. Check out with purchases from your favourite retailers quicker with one click payment and get customized recommendations based on past purchases. Use the “shop local” feature to find local businesses to order from and support in your area, all while staying at home. Realtime tracking is available within the app, too, so there’s no need to scroll through endless confirmation emails to locate a purchase.

Quartz Co. opened its factories to produce PPE

Quebec-based outerwear brand Quartz Co. has re-opened its factories to produce masks, medical gowns and medical hoods. The company has over 40 seamstresses working to answer the continued urgent call for personal protective equipment, who are producing over 1,500 gowns a day in their Montreal and Victoriaville factories.  Quartz Co. says that they are providing employees with a safe work environment, taking measures directed from the government: Separate work cells to ensure that employees can maintain a safe physical distance at all times, daily questionnaire and temperature checks at the start of shifts as well increased frequency of cleaning of high-traffic areas and supplied hand sanitizer. In addition to the PPE garments Quartz Co. will be adding two reusable masks and a tote to their offering – all profits from the sale of the tote will go to Quebec food banks.
