As someone who loves a cheeky Canadian Tuxedo (look it up), this season’s celebration of all things denim has been music to my ears. Far from Britney-and-Justin’s infamous bleached get-ups c.2001, the head-to-toe denim look for 2021 has an altogether more subtle spin. Thankfully, Zara’s new-in section is packed-full of expensive-looking denim buys: From minimalist silhouettes in the form of boxy shackets and clean-lined jeans, alongside the odd ’70s throwback via A-line midi skirts and belted denim dresses.

Whether you keep it simple with a trench coat and loafers, or play-up the Wild West undertones with cowboy boots and a knotted scarf, the denim trend will be one that you’ll bring out year after year. Plus, there’s a good chance that you already have some of the below styles in your wardrobe, so use this as an opportunity to play around with this fashion staple to create more impactful looks. My personal highlight is Zara’s wide-leg denim dunagrees, which will look so cool with chunky sandals and a white tee come summer. But there’s plenty to choose from, so scroll down to see and shop my full edit.
